Marie’s POV
We pulled into a nice little out of the way building and got down from the car. Army guy held my hand and led me inside straight to where I was supposed to stay.
As soon as we got into the room, he took off the funny looking mask and threw it on the floor.
Oh my God!! It’s Francis standing there with a wide smile plastered on his cute face.
I knew it!!! I exclaimed as I jumped on his body immediately and wrapped my legs around his waist while he chuckled and staggered trying to bear my weight.
How did he manage to hold it in for so long. I kissed him roughly like my entire life depended on this moment.
He walked with me still clinging to his body and dropped me on the bed.
‘Can we… I mean can I.. he stuttered breathlessly as he tried finding the right words to say.
I didn’t need him to bother completing the question as I clawed at the army uniform he was wearing unbuttoning it.
(Okay, we did other things that I’ll tell you about later 😊😁)
Next morning 🙂
I woke up early the next morning with a smile on my face. I couldn’t find Francis in the bed. I got up and found a bathing rope hanging on the loveseat by the bedside. I wore it and went downstairs to find him.
There he was in the kitchen cooking breakfast. I didn’t know he could cook. I don’t know how to cook so that is a balance. 😀
I walked slowly to where he was and hugged him tightly from behind whispering a little good morning.
Good morning baby girl he responded as he turned to face me properly.
He kissed me.(I haven’t brushed my teeth yet) His lips tasted like raw tomatoes. He must have ate some while slicing them up.
You should go freshen up while I finish up with breakfast. He said lovingly releasing himself from the hug.
I frowned a little as I let go of him and ran back up the stairs swinging my butt jokingly as I knew he was still looking at me.
A few minutes later 🌹
We sat down for breakfast. It was really delicious.
I never knew you are such a great cook Frankie. I commented with my mouth stuffed with food.
He smiled and wiped the particles hanging around my mouth with his fingers.
And I never knew you were such a heavy sleeper. He replied in a baby ish voice followed by laughter.
I stuck my tongue out at him jokingly and he laughed even louder.
This is the life I’ve always dreamed of. To wake up and have breakfast with the man you love who also loves you back. We chatted and laughed so hard as we cleared the table.
We were finally done with breakfast and sat down in the small and only sitting room in the house to watch some TV.
The TV screen was kinda smaller than I was used to though. We struggled for the remote control until Francis finally gave in and I started selecting the channels. There wasn’t anything interesting as it didn’t have many channels on.
I stopped at a news channel as I saw Jude’s father being dragged out of his residence by the EFCC. He has been indicted for fraud. Multiple properties and cash amounts to hundreds of billions have been recovered from him some which were in my mum’s name. They are going to get it hot.
Two Hours Later 🌱
My mum has also been arrested while trying to flee the country for fraud, money laundering, etc and multiple properties and lots of cash also recovered from her.
The evidence was so much and I know that they won’t be able to get away with it this time.
The next day, we met with Glory and Sam. Turns out that they were dating now and I was happy for them as they seemed like a really crazy couple.
They also revealed the real secret about the chain on my waist. Honestly, I didn’t want to take it off anymore as I’ve come to love it alot. It helped save my life.
I also saw my dad again who revealed the fact that I was an adopted child. I was mad about the fact that he kept it from me and satisfied to know that Sarah was just a step mom.
What a relief!!! I’m glad that my dad adopted me, I didn’t care if there was another family out there or not. My dad is the best father any child could ever ask for.
I’m the happiest girl in the world right now!
